Meet the Authors

Liaquat Ahamed is the 2010 Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Lords of Finance: The Bankers Who Broke the World and Board Chair of the Sun Valley's Writers Conference.

Theo Baker - the youngest winner of the 2023 George Polk Award for his investigation that brought down Stanford University's president.

Nicholas Boggs' Baldwin a Love Story was recognized as a New York Times 2025 Notable Book of the Year.

Barbara Demick is a Baillie Gifford prize winner and former Bejing and Seoul bureau chief of the Los Angeles Times.

Álvaro Enrigue

Álvaro Enrigue – novelist, short story writer, essayist - is a prize-winning Mexican writer whose novel You Dreamed of Empires, was a New York Times Top 10 Book of the Year.

New York Times–bestselling author of Chokepoints: American Power in the Age of Economic Warfare, named a best book of 2025 by The Economist, the Financial Times, Bloomberg, and NPR.

Alexandra Fuller

Alexandra Fuller is a prizewinning bestselling author of one novel and seven works of non-fiction, most notably, the 2001 memoir, Don’t Let’s Go To The Dogs Tonight, and is a co-producer of the 2025 movie by the same name.

Paul Andrew Hutton

Paul Andrew Hutton’s latest book is a New York Times bestseller and listed as one of the top ten books of 2025 by the Wall Street Journal.

Craig Johnson is the New York Times bestselling author of the Walt Longmire mystery novels, which are the basis for Longmire, the Netflix hit. The books have won numerous awards over the years.

The Jackson Hole Book Festival is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that expands our community’s established love of books, learning, and literature, with free activities and events. We are dedicated to bringing world-renowned authors and thinkers to the Teton region for public conversations that inspire, educate, and connect our community. Since our founding we have hosted hundreds of acclaimed writers – from Pulitzer Prize winners to debut novelists – in intimate settings that foster genuine dialogue.
