Marcia Kunstel Moderator for the Jackson Hole Book Festival 2025

Marcia Kunstel

Marcia Kunstel is an award-winning journalist who covered topics from the cop shop to foreign wars in three decades of pursuing news. She and her husband Joe Albright co-authored three non-fiction books, including an Israeli-Palestinian history that grew from their work in the Middle East, and the true story of a young American at Los Alamos who spied for Moscow, which they uncovered while assigned to Russia. Post-journalism, in 1999 the couple landed in Jackson Hole. They reinvented a 1920s homestead into a dude ranch, and in 2023 wrote the beguiling 100-year history of Flat Creek Ranch. Besides running the ranch, Marcia has been a vigorous conservationist, serving on the boards of local and national groups such as JH Conservation Alliance, The Wilderness Society and Earthjustice. She also has been a trustee of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole.
